Costruiti in Brasile su licenza Fender:
"In from 1991 to 1994, Fender licensed the Stratocaster design to a well-established Brazilian guitar manufacturer, Giannini. During that time, they produced Stratocasters and Jazz basses. The Stratocaster headstock had "Fender Stratocaster" plus either a very small Squier logo or a small "Southern Cross" logo. They also had "Made in Brazil" below the Stratocaster logo, though a previous owner sanded that away in the instrument pictured here. The back of the headstock has the text "Manufactured under license of Fender Musical Intruments - USA" and a serial number starting with CGC (which stands for Gianinni Commercial number). Needless to say, the "Manufactured under license of" is also often sanded away, so these guitars will sometimes be sold at online auction as US-made Stratocaster. Body wood is cedar, whereas Pau Marfim (a.k.a. Guatambu, Balfourodendron riedelianum) is used for the neck. These woods are popular in Brazilian guitars. The jazz basses were made with more traditional rosewood fingerboards. Production was done using Fender templates and Fender parts, and was supervised by Fender, too. About 6000 instruments per year were made by Giannini."
